Both in Puebla de Alcocer and its surrounding areas there are a number of places to enjoy the outdoors and the good weather.
Some of the resorts and entertainment offered are: Municipal Pool of Puebla de Alcocer, the freshwater beach of Orellana (the only internal Spanish beach with blue flag), the rural tourism complex, the Zújar Island (in Castuera), tourism and rural resort of Puerto Peña (in Talarrubias) and the natural beach Los Llanos (in Esparragosa de Lares).

Interior Beach with blue flag
This is the beach of Orellana, about 30 km from Puebla de Alcocer, it has the most complete infrastructure for tourism for the utilization of the water. In 2010 the beach, which is close to the reservoir, was awarded with the first blue flag in Spain.
The area thrives on fishing and sailing as the conditions here are ideal, this place is combined with the beauty from the surrounding landscapes, among which are Carneril Island, Cogolludo and others.

Municipal Outdoor Swimming Pool
In the summer months the municipal swimming pool of Puebla de Alcocer opens to the public. The facilities consist of a multipurpose building for changing rooms, a swimming pool for adults and a circular pool for children, also it has 4000 m2 of lawn. In addition it has an area dedicated to outdoor sports activities.

Island of Zújar
Known as the «Island of Zújar» it is located in the reservoir, La Serena 18 km from Puebla de Alcocer. It is a complex of rural accommodation and multi-activities in nature and is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts of the outdoors, nature and adventure sports.

The Beach of Los Llanos
Barely two and a half kilometers from Puebla de Alcocer, is a natural beach known as Playa de los Llanos, within the reservoir of La Serena. There is a beach, it offers a picnic area, barbecues, changing rooms and toilets, plus a playground and snack bar during the summer season.

Puerto Peña Complex
It is located in the reservoir of García de Sola about 20km from Puebla de Alcocer, it has a beach, snack bar and a campsite a few kilometers away. It´s equipped with a pier which facilitates the practice of water sports such as sailing, canoeing and motor boating, for completely inaccessible places.
